Commonwealth Procurement Rules

The Department of Finance is updating all guidance materials to reflect changes made to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules that take effect on 17 November 2025. Current guidance may not yet include these updates.

The CPRs govern how entities buy goods and services and are designed to ensure the Government and taxpayers get value for money.

The 1 July 2024 CPRs are currently in effect and are available for download.

The new CPRs commence from 17 November 2025 and are available for download.
